This has reference to Post #76, 78.79 and 81.
Since the start of the donation campaign 3 weeks ago, we have received a number of donations.
We also received some questions regarding tax deduction, which we are pleased to provide our answers as follows:-
a) Yes, all donations are tax deductible in Hong Kong.
b) You can ask for more than one receipt and in different names, from one donation.
c) Overseas classmates can ask for receipts for anyone in Hong Kong.
d) If you deposit cheque or post your donation before end of March 2009, it is tax deductible for the fiscal year 2008/09. Otherwise, it will be for 2009/10.
e) Yes, you are more than welcome to donate before and after March 30, 09.
f) You can fill in the donation form and send cheque (made out to St Paul's College Foundation Ltd) to Frederick Kan, or Philip Cheung or any member of the donation subcommittee. We would be more than happy to handle them for you.
